about your therapist

I founded Evoluer Counseling because I know how much everyone needs a space where they can learn how to love themselves as they are AND work towards becoming the best version of themselves at the same time.

Evoluer (pronounced eh-vuh-LOU-aye) means “to evolve“ in French, which is what I help my clients do. If you’ve been trying to shame yourself into changing, I’m here to help you learn how to love yourself into growing instead. No matter where you’re starting, everyone deserves the chance to evolve.

There are a few philosophies that guide my work:

  1. I see you as the expert of yourself, meaning I may come in with my expertise in mental health, but you will always be the one to make decisions about what your counseling experience looks like. No one knows you better than you.

  2. I use a strengths-based approach, meaning I trust that you are always doing the best you can with what you have. We will spend time focusing on what you’re doing well and what is currently working in your life, not just what you’re struggling with.

  3. I approach with curiosity, not judgement, meaning that if there is something I don’t understand, I will ask clarifying questions to better understand your perspective, rather than judge or make assumptions.
